Kenneth Calhoun Brown

Birmingham, Michigan

A perpetual grin, a ready wit, and an endearing spirit—that's Ken Brown. This bundle of energy entered our lives in an active way. Receiving visiting teams, sailing, dragging, and being host at the famous Cottage Club on the shores of the Severn occupied this midshipman's time on the week-ends. During the week, the Fox spent most of his time successfully evading the grasping clutches of the D O.'s. When K. C. entered Annapolis, the Brown Star Products lost their best salesman. He could persuade Culbertson that the Brooklyn Bridge was just another game. With these attributes, Ken will always be surrounded by a host of admiring friends.

The Class of 1947 was graduated in June 1946 due to World War II. The entirety of 2nd class (junior) year was removed from the curriculum.
